2017 Winemaker ChallengeJudges Award JOLO Winery & Vineyards Two Gold and One Silver Medal

JOLO Winery & Vineyards won two gold medals and one silver medals at the 2017 International Winemaker Challenge Wine Competition in San Diego, California that took place January 28 & 29, 2017. For the second consecutive year JOLO was the only Winery in North Carolina to win gold medals at this prestigious event. In its eighth year, The Winemaker Challenge is part of the "Challenge" series of wine competitions conceived by syndicated wine columnist Robert Whitley. It joins Critics Challenge and Sommelier Challenge in delivering evaluation of wines from the unique perspective of three important sectors of the wine industry -- winemakers, sommeliers and wine journalists -- often looked to for professional analysis. Its goal is to provide the best environment for wine tasting and evaluation. JOLO Winery & Vineyards is located at 219 JOLO Winery Lane in Pilot Mountain. Tasting Lodge hours are Thursday thru Saturday 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 5:00 p.m.
